DAY 01 Arr. Cochin Checkin at HTL, Renaissance/Qualitty Inn Presedency International. After noon after lunch SS of Cochin at around 1500 Hrs Visiting the Jewish Synagogue(Closed on Saturday) built over 400 Yrs ago. It contains antiques like the belgium glass chandeliers and it is paved with hand painted tiles from China. Visit the Dutch Palace (Closed on Fridays) with its wonderful murals depicting the entire story of the ramayana on its walls. See St: Francis Church the first European church built in India and the original burial site for Vasco da Gama in 1524. In the evening witness Kathakali the traditional dance show of kerala in its colorjul costumes starting from 1830 Hrs till 2000 Hrs narrating stories from the ramayana through mudrai.
DAY 02 Leave for Periyar after an early breakfast at around 0700 Hrs (192 Kms 05 Hrs) Check in at Spice Village/Aranya Nivas O/N at the HTL. Periyar wild life sanctuaries is one of the major wild life sanctuaries in India, situated on the western ghats covering an area of 777 Sq Kms Karnataka and Tamil Nadu share the rest of the forest on the northern and northerstern sides respectively . This sanctuary has the largtest population of elephants, besides that it has large spices of monkey, spotted deer, wild bores and bisons.
DAY 03 0700 Hrs Trekking A walk through the forest to be in rhythm with the nature and wild life along with a guide (3Hrs) back to hotel for breakfast. Lunch on your own . In the afternoon you will be taken to the Spice plantations where you will get to see the growing of spices(02 Hrs) 1600 hrs Game viewing by boat over night at the HTL
DAY 04 After breakfast drive at around 0800 hrs to Kumarakom via Kottayam(140 Kms 4.5 Hrs) Kottayam is a small city, with a majority population of Christians. It is dotted with churches and is also with rubber platations. It one of keralas most prosperous cities , the major source of income coming from agriculture yield . You will have 10 minitues boat ride to reach the HTL coconut Lagoon or Golden Water . Rest of the day at leisure .Overnight at the HTL.
DAY 05 After break fast leave for cok to depart on time to connect (50 Kms 1 ½ Hrs) by Flight/Train
